Hey all, I have a leaky sending unit at the threads where it screws into the fuel tank. A bad gasket, i guess. Where would i find the tool to use that unscrews the 3 pronged "nut" from the tank? I just ordered a watch case remover to change my battery (wristwatch), and dang if it doesn't look like it would work. I just dont want to hammer and cause a spark…i hate it when that happens ;) Thanks

I don't know of any lock ring tool. The manuals always say to use a brass drift punch to spin the ring off. Brass won't spark.

Thanks fsj, I have to remember that, brass won't spark. And good to hear that it calls for a hammer, i love pounding.
